Sheffield United set to move for QPR defender Dunne.

Jimmy Dunne, the QPR defender, is expected to be offered a contract by Sheffield United.
During the January transfer window, the Blades unsuccessfully attempted to sign Dunne, whose contract with Rangers expires this summer. West London Sport initially announced Chris Wilder’s interest in the Irishman, but later revealed that Rangers had rebuffed offers. The two clubs were unable to reach an agreement before the transfer deadline, therefore Dunne spent the balance of his contract at Loftus Road. United will play another season in the Championship after losing to Sunderland in the play-off final. Manager Wilder has made it apparent that Dunne, 27, is one of the second-tier’s greatest defenders. Dunne has made 152 league appearances for QPR since signing from Burnley four years ago.
He was recently voted Rangers’ player of the season.
