Sheffield Wednesday assistant manager targeted for role with relegated club

According to The Star, Henrik Pedersen, the assistant manager of Sheffield Wednesday, is being considered for a position in Leicester City’s backroom staff under Russell Martin.

Sheffield Wednesday had a successful 2024–25 season on the field, but their off-field situation is unclear. Regarding the future of their management role, SWFC supporters have unresolved concerns.

Danny Rohl has already made up his mind, but he hasn’t shared it yet. He is still being connected to employment outside of Hillsborough in the meanwhile.

However, there are also concerns over the future of his backroom staff, as important members are reportedly not bound by the same longer-term contract as Rohl. As a result, the Owls are vulnerable to losing important instructors like Henrik Pedersen.

The Star claims that Pedersen, the assistant manager of Sheffield Wednesday, is being considered for a position in Leicester City’s backroom staff.

The Foxes, who just suffered relegation, are more likely to choose Russell Martin as their new manager. Pedersen is also being considered as a possible assistant manager for the Scot if he does assume leadership.

However, other teams are also interested in hiring the SWFC coach, who was the lead man before, as a manager or assistant.
