Danny Rohl, the manager of Sheffield Wednesday, is reportedly on the final shortlist for the Rangers job.

The 36-year-old appears to be on the verge of leaving Hillsborough, fuelling speculation with hints about his future plans.

He referred to his time as Owls manager in the past tense and stated that owner Dejphon Chansiri is aware of his decision regarding his future.

Championship-bound clubs Rohl has been linked with Southampton, Leicester City, and RB Leipzig from the Bundesliga.

Sheffield Wednesday boss Dany Rohl has been linked with Scottish giants Rangers.

Fulham and Crystal Palace have shown admiration, despite uncertainty regarding their own managers’ positions.

Sky Sports reports that Rohl is a potential replacement for Philippe Clement at Ibrox.

Rangers fired Clement earlier this year before giving the job to Barry Ferguson on an interim basis.

Former Barnsley defender Rob Edwards and ex-Middlesbrough midfielder Gary O’Neil are among those linked with the Scottish giants.

European football may also appeal to Rohl, who took on his first managerial role when he was appointed on Wednesday, October 2023.

Last week, Rohl told Kicker that he had a great time at Sheffield Wednesday. I have made no secret of my desire to work at the highest level with the best players in the near future.

“The Bundesliga is, of course, an option. My situation in Sheffield is unofficially fairly clear.

“I have a clear agreement with the owner about how I see my future. Unfortunately, I can’t go into detail about it right now.”
