Sheffield Wednesday Looking To Land Defensive Starlet

Manchester United prodigy Harry Amass has emerged as a transfer target for Championship club Sheffield Wednesday, who want the teenager on a season-long loan, according to journalist Mike McGrath.

The adolescent left-back has appeared for Manchester United’s Under-18 and Under-21 squads, as well as seven professional appearances.

The defender is now desired by Championship club Sheffield Wednesday, who have had a dismal summer.

The Owls are now under severe financial hardship and have been subjected to a transfer embargo, which prohibits them from making any transfers for the next three transfer windows, with the exception of free loans and transfers.

And they’re hoping to persuade Manchester United to send Amass to Hillsborough for the season.

Sheffield Wednesday are currently under a transfer embargo, however they could sign Amass on loan if there was no loan fee.

And landing the highly regarded defender would be a huge coup if they can pull it happen in the coming days.

With Danny Rohl’s departure as Owls manager, Henrik Pedersen now leads the Championship club.

Wednesday fans are hoping that the club will be taken over, and former Crystal Palace co-owner John Textor has stated that he is closely monitoring happenings at Hillsborough.

Manchester United will have to consider whether it is a wise idea to send Amass into what is expected to be a relegation struggle in the Championship throughout the course of the next season.
