Sheffield Wednesday solve goalkeeper issue with loan signing of Ethan Horvath from Cardiff City

In the midst of ongoing off-field turmoil at Hillsborough, Sheffield Wednesday has completed the loan signing of goalkeeper Ethan Horvath from Cardiff City.
Owls manager Henrik Pedersen is dealing with a shabby squad, which was further exacerbated by the recent injury to Pierce Charles, who has been a standout goalkeeper in S6.
Horvath, a 30-year-old senior United States international, signed a temporary contract with Sheffield Wednesday that will last until January, providing Wednesday with much-needed seniority.

Horvath will wear the number 24 shirt and is available to make his debut this weekend against Wrexham.

At last, Sheffield Wednesday makes their first acquisition.

Due to Wednesday’s issues, Pedersen has been unable to add anyone to his team.

Horvath is Wednesday’s first signing of the summer and arrives with just over a week to go until the window slams shut.

He gained experience on the continent, first with Molde in Norway and later with Club Brugge in Belgium.
