Sheffield Wednesday ‘talent’ must be kept this season, his potential sale would be the final straw for Chansiri
One Sheffield Wednesday star must always be retained out of all the young players; else, Dejphon Chansiri will
continue to face major concerns.
Sheffield Stemming water in the face of financial turmoil has been the focus of Wednesday’s summer.
At Sheffield Wednesday, doubts began to grow when the 2024–25 Championship season ended, especially in
relation to Danny Rohl’s and a number of first-team players’ futures.
It is unclear if Rohl will remain as Owls manager after EFL Analysis exclusively disclosed that the players and the
hierarchy are still determined to let go of the German, but it won’t be simple given the expense of terminating his
contract.
A sale that would not sit well with the Owls owner could easily follow the departure of several Sheffield Wednesday
players this summer as Dejphon Chansiri looks to secure short-term funding to run the club.
Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri must not sell Pierce Charles this summer

Cadamarteri, whilst he could also turn to fellow Owls youngster Pierce Charles, who could fetch a sizeable fee this
summer.
Aston Villa, Everton, Tottenham, Brentford, and Fulham are among the Premier League teams reportedly keeping a
close eye on Charles and may try to sign him this summer, according to an exclusive report published by EFL
Analysis in April.
Some fans are eager to see the younger players, like Charles, who excelled when called upon by Danny Rohl last
season, play for the Owls, despite the fact that the Sheffield Wednesday situation has left supporters extremely
pessimistic ahead of the new season.
In a recent All Wednesday show, Alex Miller even mentioned the Northern Irish international and his qualities.
“Take a look at Pierce Charles, who is clearly incredibly talented.
“He’s got the world at his feet, and I get more and more excited the more I talk to about Pierce.
“You know what, it seems like he has the makings of a future superstar.”
Given Charles’ skill and potential, it’s reasonable to imagine that Sheffield Wednesday fans would be furious if
Chansiri let him go this summer.
Pierce Charles could fetch an eight-figure future fee
Sheffield Wednesday fans will be hoping that Dejphon Chansiri does not repeat the feat of Djeidi Gassama and
Anthony Musaba with Pierce Charles. The Owls’ wingers both left for a fee substantially below their market value,
and that simply cannot take place with the young Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper.
After making an immediate impact for Sheffield Wednesday under Danny Rohl, Charles has already established
himself as a starter for Northern Ireland, greatly increasing his market value.
There is no doubt that Charles might command an eight-figure price in the future following a successful
Championship season if Sheffield Wednesday can overcome their financial difficulties and retain him.
Fans of Sheffield Wednesday will now have to wait and see if Chansiri will give in to any Premier League teams
interested in Charles.
