sport.

The legendary manager won the Champions League twice and the Premier League 13 times while he was at Manchester United.

Ferguson had a lot of run-ins with major names along the way to that achievement. At various points while he was in charge at Old

Trafford, players like David Beckham, Roy Keane, and even Cristiano Ronaldo felt his pain.

That said, even as one of the most intimidating coaches ever, there were a few places Sir Alex didn’t relish going. In fact, he supposedly

felt that one British stadium was ‘one of the most hostile places to come in the world.

Ferguson Blown Away By St. Andrews

Although Ferguson’s most memorable managerial matches were against English powerhouses like Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea at

Highbury, Anfield, and Stamford Bridge, respectively, he found one unexpected location to be especially challenging to visit.

The Scottish coach believed that St Andrew’s stadium in Birmingham City was an extremely unpleasant location for any football

manager to come, according to TalkSport host Tom Ross. He clarified:

Birmingham only played in the Premier League for seven seasons when Ferguson was at Old Trafford, and they haven’t been a part of

it since 2010–11. However, the fact that he never lost when facing the Blues during his career—at home or away—makes this comment

even more unexpected.
