Smelter Wood Crescent, Woodhouse: One man injured & another arrested after fight outside Sheffield property.
Following a reported brawl outside a Sheffield residence, one man was transported to the hospital and another arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily injury. The disruption is said to have occurred outside a property on Smelter Wood Crescent in Sheffield’s Woodhouse neighbourhood yesterday afternoon (Saturday, May 3, 2025). A force spokeswoman told The Star that South Yorkshire Police (SYP) were asked to investigate the incident at around 1.29pm.
“A 31-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries that are not deemed life threatening.” A 27-year-old male was arrested on charges of causing grievous bodily harm (section 18) and has since been granted bail. “A scene was currently in place on Smelter Wood Crescent while officers conducted their work but has since been lifted.” Residents said that the barrier remained in place for much of last night.
