Danny Rohl, a target for the SAINTS management, has already informed Sheffield Wednesday of his plans at the

conclusion of the season.

The German coach, who is rumoured to be a target for RB Leipzig, Saints, and Leicester, has not disclosed exactly

what he told Dejphon Chansiri, the chairman on Wednesday.

A compensation package must be paid by any club hoping to hire Rohl, who is now bound by a contract that expires

on Wednesday, 2027.

In December, the Saints had wanted to replace Russell Martin with their previous assistant, but compensation

reportedly prevented St. Mary’s from returning.

Rohl was questioned if this might be his final Hillsborough game before the Owls’ season-ending home match

against Portsmouth on Saturday.

“The club chairman is aware of my choice,” he declared on Friday. “This is significant, and the club is aware of my

thoughts.

“I think the ideal moment to discuss this is right now or tomorrow; it has to do with the season’s end. We want to see

how it progresses once the season ends.

“I am extremely clear; it was crucial to me that the club understand my thoughts before it was too late.

“We continue from here. I have to say that the guys really inspired me on Monday, and it was wonderful to witness

their level of commitment and our ability to defeat elite teams.

“I hope tomorrow’s game is enjoyable. My children and relatives are present. It is always special, in my opinion, and

we have one more game at Watford after this.

“After 18 or 19 months now, I know how the club works,” Rohl said in response to a follow-up question about his

future.

“I am aware of what we have accomplished over the past 18 or 19 months, as well as what is required for this and

what I am capable of doing in the future.

“All of these are the items. Lastly, these are the explanations for why I connected everything. We’ll see what that

implies and what we can accomplish in the next days once I spoke with the club.

“In my opinion, it was crucial that I let the club know what I was thinking sooner.”
