SPFL SWOOP Aberdeen ‘set to battle Premiership rivals in transfer race for SPFL side’s top scorer’.
ABERDEEN are reportedly in the running for one of Scottish football’s hottest properties, but face stiff competition from several clubs.
Jimmy Thelin plans to improve his Scottish Cup-winning squad this summer, including adding a new striker.

Kevin Nisbet will return to Millwall after his loan spell, while Oday Dabbagh’s future at Pittodrie remains uncertain, despite the Dons’ option to sign him permanently from Charleroi.
Aberdeen have yet to sign the Palestinian forward.
Thelin, 47, is considering his options and is expected to carry out at least one swoop for another hitman.
He appears to have found his next man right here in Scotland.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, Aberdeen is preparing to sign Ross County’s Ronan Hale.
Hale, 26, is currently with Northern Ireland’s squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Denmark and Iceland. He will make a decision on his future when he returns to Dingwall.
The former Cliftonville striker is expected to leave the Staggies after just one year since their relegation to the Championship.
Hale scored two goals against Livingston in the Premiership play-off, but his team was unable to avoid relegation. He is likely to play his final game for the club.
Aberdeen will compete for his services with Dundee and other English clubs.
EFL League One clubs Wigan Athletic, Luton Town, and Port Vale are also reportedly interested in him.
Aberdeen fans react to the historic Scottish Cup victory
Aberdeen’s Scottish Cup-winning heroes are greeted by thousands on an open-top bus parade through the city after beating Celtic.
Hale scored 18 goals across all competitions for Ross County in 2024/25.
He may make his international debut for Michael O’Neil’s side soon after switching allegiances from the Republic of Ireland this year.
The Staggies will demand a high fee for the 26-year-old, who signed a three-year contract with Dingwall last year.
