Sunderland can secure the signing of Chelsea attacker

Sunderland’s ambitious summer recruitment plans have taken a drastic turn, with former Everton CEO Keith Wyness hinting at a high-profile coup involving Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling.

While the name may raise eyebrows, the claim is being taken seriously by the club’s management team.

At 30, Sterling possesses a pedigree that few promoted teams can match. After playing for both City and Liverpool, his experience competing at the highest level and winning significant awards would be helpful to Sunderland.

His presence might have a huge positive impact on both the dressing room and the pitch.

Sunderland favored to sign Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling

In an interview with Football Insider, Wyness said that given his circumstances at Chelsea, Sterling had few options and mentioned Sunderland, Leeds, and Burnley as potential destinations.

He stated:

“I believe that getting him to move on will be a major challenge.

“I believe that you will be limited to the three upcoming clubs: Leeds, Burnley, and Sunderland.

” He might find a place there, in my opinion. But once more, in order to obtain him a job at all, the pay will need to be significantly subsidized. However, I believe it will eventually reach a stage when that will be the case.

“I don’t know how long he has left on his contract yet, so it will be a tough move, but Chelsea will still need to heavily subsidize those to get him out there.”

There is no future for Sterling at Stamford Bridge.

The English attacker could not meet expectations at the Emirates Stadium after spending the previous season on loan at Arsenal.

Since the player is no longer in manager Enzo Maresca’s plans, his Chelsea career is now in doubt.

It is obvious that Sterling has no future at Stamford Bridge because the Blues are searching the market for younger players for the wide attacking positions.
