Rangers are looking into a possible partnership with Championship side Raith Rovers.
Raith Rovers’ Supporters Liaison Officers responded to reports that the club is ‘exploring a partnership agreement’ with Rangers. The Light Blues are apparently exploring forming a collaboration with a number of lower division clubs beginning next season.
According to Record Sport, Rangers have set their sights on Raith Rovers, and a deal with the Fife club might be in the works.
The proposed concept is part of the Scottish FA’s new objectives to increase opportunities for young talent in Scotland to gain top-level exposure as they advance in their careers.
An agreement would allow a club to send out a number of players on loan each season, but they may switch between the two clubs as many times as they wanted, both during and outside of transfer window periods.

Raith Rovers SLO responds to the Rangers connection report.
The report of a possible collaboration between Rangers and Raith Rovers has sparked mixed reactions online. Kirkcaldy supporters have responded to the story, and a number of them are currently opposed to the concept.
Raith Rovers’ Supporters Liaison Officers have supplied some context for the news, confirming that the club has been in talks with Rangers about a prospective arrangement.
“I’ll definitely ask the question – definitely a mixed reaction from what I’ve seen and read so it’ll be interesting to see if there’s any truth to it,” a fan asked the liaison officers on X. “Can the supporters have some sort of clarification on this from the club? Because it’s clearly not something that the fans are happy about going by the online reaction and when out at community Grassroots games this weekend,” the fan said.
I spoke with the general manager, Dean, and we’ve discussed similar “cooperation partnerships” with other clubs. Rangers have been consulted, but no proposal has been made as of yet. Additionally, we are informed that no choice will be made in the near future or without consulting anyone we choose, if any.
Rangers see the partnership with Raith Rovers as advantageous for both teams.
Rangers are considering a number of possible collaboration options beginning in the upcoming season after dismantling the vast majority of their present B team. According to reports, the Ibrox team thinks a deal with Raith Rovers will “benefit” both teams.
The Light Blues would be allowed to send younger players out on loan to Rovers, giving them the opportunity to play regular games without fighting for a senior berth at Ibrox. Rovers manager Barry Robson would also be able to improve his squad without spending a lot of money on new players and wages.
Raith Rovers finished the Championship season in fifth place, with 53 points, two behind Partick Thistle. Meanwhile, Rangers are preparing for a summer of substantial change as they await the arrival of a new manager.
