
Teens in court over Norwich attempted murder and knife GBH
Two teens have been charged in court with vicious knife attacks in which one victim was repeatedly stabbed and
another was stabbed in the back of the head.
Following the incident in Norwich early on April 6, a 16-year-old has been charged with grievous bodily injury with
intent, and a 17-year-old, who cannot be identified due to his age, is accused of attempted murder.
Additionally, both are charged with possessing a bladed object.
According to information presented before Norwich Magistrates’ Court, two individuals were attacked on Prince of
Wales Road and suffered life-altering injuries.
The 17-year-old was remanded to stay in custody until the hearing after being arrested at Norwich train station after
the attacks after being questioned about his ticket.
The court was informed that the 16-year-old, who was in court with his mother, had been taken into custody after
being detained by security personnel outside the Sugar and Spice location.
He was given bail with restrictions that included a curfew from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., a ban from contacting the victims or
other defendants, and a ban from entering Norwich’s outer ring road.
In anticipation of more investigations, a third adolescent male who has not been accused has been freed on bail until
July 3.
