Brendan Rodgers will try to enhance Celtic during the summer transfer window.
The Celtic boss has a Champions League third-round qualifier this summer and will want to make sure the Hoops first team is strengthened before the big European game.
Rodgers is expected to prioritise the Celtic forward line after failing to replace Kyogo Furhashi in the January transfer window.
However, it looks that the Hoops are targeting a different position. And the manager of the player Celtic supposedly wants looks to have spoken out on the rumour.

Guingamp’s manager breaks silence on Kalidou Sidibe Celtic speculation. This summer, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly interested in Guingamp striker Kalidou Sidibe.
The Celtic Way stated that Rodgers was preparing a £1.7 million bid for the 24-year-old, and Guingamp’s manager has broken his silence on the rumour.
Ripoll told Le Telegramme, “I would like to, but I am not fooled. They’re undoubtedly interested in seeing what’s going on there.
“They have only one year remaining on their deal. As long as his interests are protected, the club will listen.
“There must be requests that the players want while also ensuring that the club is preserved. But if they stay with us, I’ll be extremely happy.”
Who is Kalidou Sidibe, and why would Celtic want him?
Sidibe is a defensive midfielder who now plays for Guingamp in France’s second division.
Sidibe was born in Mali and holds dual nationality, allowing him to play for both France and Mali.
However, at the age of 26, he lacks international experience at any level and is unlikely to receive that recognition.
Sidibe began his career in Toulouse and has since played for Châteauroux and Quevilly-Rouen before joining his current club.
The French midfielder is versatile, having previously played as a striker, central defence, and central midfielder. He has 188 first-team appearances and only 12 goals to his name.
Is Sidibe better than Rodgers’ other options? Looking at the Celtic midfield and considering the player is still in France’s second tier, you have to say no, and the Hoops manager should avoid this transfer.
