Sheffield Wednesday may lose six key players in the next 24 hours due to a double embargo.
Danny Rohl has also stated that he will leave the club.
Kieran Maguire’s forecast indicates that Wednesday’s situation will not improve, and there are concerns that players and staff will not receive June salaries.

Stuart Armstrong
Stuart Armstrong, a short-term signing who joined in January, is due to leave the club and is expected to remain in the Championship after being linked with Wrexham.
The 33-year-old was a semi-regular under Rohl, making 11 appearances, but it was never going to be a long-term answer, and he is now one of many who will depart the club to pursue other opportunities.
Akin Famewo
Akin Famewo, one of many players who did not return to pre-season training last week, appears to be heading elsewhere.
Famewo was sidelined for much of the season due to a muscular issue, which limited his playing time severely.
Before that, Famewo had a role to play in the team, and at the age of 26, he is approaching his prime and will be able to easily join a new club.
Callum Paterson
Another player who was not observed in pre-season training with Wednesday, the versatile Callum Paterson, appears to be moving on.
The 30-year-old has spent the majority of his career in Yorkshire as a forward, and he may be a wise addition to any side in the Championship’s lower tiers, as well as several League One teams.
Paterson has been with the club for nearly five years, but it appears that they are about to part ways.

Barry Bannan
The one that has the greatest potential to hurt Wednesday. Barry Bannan has been with the club through thick and thin, even when he might have easily departed.
Bannan is slated to become a free agent like the others on the list, but he was at the club’s training facility for pre-season, giving fans optimism that he will stay and sign a new contract after all.
The former Scotland international, like Armstrong, could move to Wales to join Wrexham. If he leaves, this is the one that will hurt the Owls the most.
Liam Palmer
Liam Palmer came up through Sheffield Wednesday’s academy and, like Bannan, is a die-hard fan. Palmer is still a regular, even at the age of 33, and not seeing him in the blue and white shirt will be weird.
Wednesday require players like him to help integrate new players into the club and teach them the concept of what it takes to play for the team.
