Third store in Watford and Bushey area burgled for cigarette.
A few days after two Morrisons were targeted, burglars smashed a glass door and stole cigarettes from a store.
Herts Police are investigating a burglary at the Spar on High Street in Bushey between 4 a.m. and 4.25 a.m. today (May 1).
This morning, the business was closed and cordoned off.
“A glass door was damaged, and cigarettes were taken from within,” a police spokesperson confirmed.
“Enquiries continue, and anyone with information is asked to please call 101 or report online, quoting crime reference number 41/39608/25.”
It comes after two break-ins at Morrisons Daily stores early Monday morning (April 28).
Cigarettes were stolen from Cassiobury Drive, Watford, shortly before 2.30am. Additionally, burglars attempted to force open the cigarette counter at the branch in High Road, Bushey Heath, around 4.20am.
In both cases, glass doors were smashed to gain access.
Suspects are believed to have fled on a moped from Bushey Heath Morrisons towards California Lane.
