‘This was a sign’… Everton name dropped in latest Richarlison transfer twist at Tottenham

This summer, there have been rumours of Richarlison making a spectacular comeback to Everton.

Three years have passed since Richarlison left Merseyside for Tottenham Hotspur, and his career has undoubtedly been rocky throughout that time.

Despite his form and injury issues, Richarlison managed to win the Europa League with Spurs in May.

But this summer, Tottenham might be willing to let go of Richarlison.

Clubs from all around the world have expressed interest in Richarlison, and Everton has been mentioned as a potential suitor.

It is an intriguing possibility, since Angus Kinnear and the Everton recruitment team are considering attacking reinforcements.

Tim Vickery has now mentioned Everton in reference to Richarlison’s future, as the star is still being linked to a transfer elsewhere.

Richarlison lined up for Tottenham exit amid Everton interest

Before they move into Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer, the Friedkins believe Richarlison could be their big acquisition.

It remains to be seen if that has changed since Thierno Barry was signed.

Tim Vickery, a South American expert, has now discussed his predictions for Richarlison’s future on TalkSPORT.

One injury after another has occurred. Everton has allowed him to play in the 2021 Copa America and Olympics, which I believe was a clue that they were letting him go. Thus, he didn’t get any sleep at all,” Vickery stated.

“He might be up for it [Palmeiras]. That’s a possibility.”

Palmeiras are interested in signing Richarlison, and it has been suggested a £55m fee could be paid by the Brazilian outfit.

That is not a sum of money Everton would consider paying for Richarlison who they sold for £60m back in 2022.

Everton must steer clear of Richarlison

In recent years, Everton has experienced a number of injury problems that have hindered the Blues’ progress.

Given his struggles with staying in shape, bringing Richarlison back into the mix might be a step backward.

Everton shouldn’t feel compelled to take the chance and give the Brazilian a lifeline because Richarlison just acknowledged that he needs to step up his game.

Although Richarlison served the team admirably while he was on Merseyside, many Everton supporters do not want him to return this summer.

Everton must look forward to the new era that the Friedkins’ ownership brought about.
