Sheffield United sent a Premier League transfer warning after revealing a million-pound clause.
Sheffield United have been urged to brace themselves for Premier League interest in left-back Harrison Burrows, after failing to regain promotion to the top tier last season. The Blades were within 20 minutes of winning the play-offs but two late Sunderland goals at Wembley Stadium broke United fans’ hearts.
It could have turned out very differently if Harrison Burrows’ long-range shot, which would have put the Blades ahead 2-0 in the first half, had been allowed to stand. However, after a contentious VAR check, it was disallowed, giving Sunderland a huge boost and changing the course of the game.

That moment would have concluded Burrows’ outstanding debut season at Bramall Lane, following his prolonged move from Peterborough United last summer. The 23-year-old gained a place in the Championship squad of the year as a left back, beating out Junior Firpo to the chagrin of many Leeds United fans and impressing Unitedites with the quality of his left foot.
Burrows is just one of a handful of intriguing young players at United, providing tremendous hope for the future as they try to improve next season. However, his good performances will not have gone unnoticed elsewhere, with his former Posh chairman, Darragh MacAnthony, insisting that Burrows is capable of playing in the Premier League.
Sheffield United gave Harrison Burrows a transfer warning after revealing the million-pound clause.
On the latest episode of his Hard Truths podcast, MacAnthony discussed the future of United-linked Harley Mills, who he believes has been identified by the Blades as a potential Burrows replacement.
He stated, “Here’s the thing with Harrison… that’s an example for Harley.” Harrison signed three contracts with us altogether. Starting at £300 per week.
Not just because we have a sell-on, I am aware that West Ham prefers several excellent top-tier Championship players. Under Chris Wilder and my boss, he has significantly improved in other areas than only his defensive prowess. He sets goals.
