After fifty years, Torvill and Dean bid farewell to Sheffield wednesday supporters, saying, “Tonight is one of those
special moments.”
On Saturday night, Torvill and Dean said goodbye to the Sheffield crowds, entertaining their fans with a touching
and charming retrospective of their 50 years of ice skating together.
Bolero, the gold medal winning performance at the 1984 Sarajevo Olympics, made Jayne Torvill and Christopher
Dean famous. They have since travelled the world as a skating duo after winning a bronze medal in 1996.

In the middle of the show, Dean remarked, “We have had some amazing times over our career.” However, this

stir from the audience. However, this is our final dance, and we would like to express our gratitude to everyone for
the memories. The audience erupted in shouts of “We love you” in response.
While the more poignant moments are reserved for Torvill and Dean, there is enough variety and action strewn
throughout the performance. Their supporting stars perform some of the livelier pieces, including a fantastic James
Bond-themed routine by young stars James Hernandez and Phebe Bekker.

information on what it was like to be the world’s top figure skater.
It is an emotional and endearing farewell. Or as one fan put it as she was walking out of the arena: “I’ve only got one
