
Trafalgar Street police incident Sheffield: Update after man found seriously injured in city centre.
The investigation into the discovery of a man with severe head injuries close to Devonshire Street in Sheffield’s
downtown has been updated by the police.
Following the discovery of a youngster with severe head injuries in the early hours of Tuesday, April 8, South
Yorkshire Police blocked off Trafalgar Street at its intersection with Devonshire Street.
After paramedics were dispatched to the location to assist the 19-year-old, the ambulance service called out officers
around 2:30 in the morning.
Police initiated an inquiry, but said it was not immediately apparent how the man came to be hurt.
He was characterised at the time as being brought to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries
An update on the investigation has now been released by the police.
The Star was informed by South Yorkshire Police that “investigations have established this was an accident.”
