The Royals have signed three players this summer, with left-back Matty Jacobs joining Paudie O’Connor and goalkeeper Jack Stevens this week.
Hunt was made aware that there is still work to be done in terms of squad depth after beginning pre-season last week with a 5-1 victory over Hungerford Town in the opening friendly of the summer on Saturday. Hunt was hoping that new faces would join the club in the coming days when they return to League Two play next Saturday against Gillingham.
“We’re constantly adding people,” he told club reporters on Saturday. “We’ll try to get one or two in over the weekend for Monday or Tuesday, and then see what the rest of the week looks like. We realise we need bodies in the door, and we’re working hard to get them.”
Chairman Rob Couhig indicated that the club had an addition planned before he decided against a transfer to England. Basil Tuma, Emmanuel Osho (two), Ashqar Ahmed, and Jeremiah Okine-Peters scored against the Crusaders on Saturday, all of whom came up through the club’s youth system.
