Travers leaves to join Everton.

Mark Travers, the goalkeeper, has left AFC Bournemouth after nine years of service.

He has signed a permanent contract with Everton. Travers first arrived at the club in 2016, initially joining the academy from Shamrock Rovers in Ireland.

Three years later, the ‘keeper made his Premier League debut as the Cherries defeated Tottenham Hotspur at Vitality Stadium.

With a Man of the Match performance, he became the first youngster to maintain a clean sheet in the top division since 2006.

The Republic of Ireland international’s best season occurred in 2021–2022, when the team was promoted from the Championship and returned to the Premier League.

Travers was crucial; he was elected Player of the Season by the club, its vice presidents, and the Daily Echo, and he won the league’s Golden Glove award with 20 clean sheets.
