Two in hospital and man arrested after Blackburn stabbing.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Blackburn on Saturday afternoon.

Armed and unarmed police descended on Swift Close yesterday (April 26), discovering a man in his 30s with stab wounds.

Another man in his 40s sustained minor injuries.

Both men were taken to the hospital, but their injuries do not appear to be life threatening at this time.

A 42-year-old man from Blackburn has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A scene remains in Swift Close, and an investigation is ongoing, with an increased police presence in the area.

A Lancashire Constabulary spokesperson stated: “At 5.37pm on Saturday, April 26, we were called to reports of a stabbing on Swift Close in Blackburn.

“Both armed and unarmed officers arrived to find a man in his thirties with stab wounds. A second injured male in his forties also sustained minor injuries.

“Both men were taken to the hospital.” Their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening at this time.

“A 42-year-old man from Blackburn was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

“A scene has been set up on Swift Close, an investigation is underway, and there will be an increased police presence in the area while investigations continue.
