City to start against Millwall as 25/26 fixtures confirmed.

Norwich City’s Liam Manning era will begin at home against Alex Neil’s Millwall, according to the official Championship 2025/26 fixtures.
City will open their Championship campaign at Carrow Road for the first time since 2023/24, facing the Lions on Saturday, August 9 at 3pm.
Neil, the former City manager, will be trying to record Millwall’s first win in Norfolk since the 1968/69 season, with the Canaries hoping to begin their league campaign with a win for only the second time in eight attempts. This is the first time City have faced Millwall in the season opener since a 4-0 defeat in 2001/02.
An away trip to Portsmouth will follow on Saturday, August 16 at 3pm, before Rob Edwards’ Middlesbrough visits Carrow Road on Saturday, August 23. The first month of the Championship season ends with a trip to Blackburn Rovers.
The first return of the East Anglian derby will take place at Portman Road on Saturday, October 4, whilst the Carrow Road return is on Saturday, April 11.
City will face newly promoted Charlton Athletic on Boxing Day, followed by Watford on December 29 at 7.45pm at Carrow Road.
Manning’s men will launch off 2026 with a trip to Loftus Road to play QPR. Manning will face a reunion with previous club Bristol City on Saturday, October 18, before returning to Ashton Gate in April.
City face an exact repetition of last season’s Easter itinerary, hosting Portsmouth on Good Friday at Carrow Road before travelling to Millwall on Easter Monday. Norwich will finish their season away to Hull on Saturday, May 2.
Ipswich will begin the new Championship season at newly promoted Birmingham on Friday, August 8. Southampton will face Wrexham, while Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday will play on Sunday.
Later this afternoon, Norwich will hear who they will face in the first round of the Carabao Cup. They will be ball number 20 in the Southern Section of the draw, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports News at 4.20pm today.
