Urgent 999 Appeal for Missing Girl, 15, Believed to Be with 19-Year-Old Man

Police have launched an urgent 999 appeal to help trace a missing 15-year-old girl, Tiegan Preece, who has not been seen since Sunday, April 20. Authorities believe she may be in the company of 19-year-old Alfie Speed, and concerns are growing for her safety.

Tiegan was last seen in the early hours of Sunday morning and has not returned home or made contact with her family since. The teenager’s disappearance has prompted a full-scale search, with officers issuing an urgent call to the public for any information regarding her whereabouts.

Police say Tiegan is believed to have left voluntarily, but her young age has made this a high-risk missing persons case. Investigators believe she could be travelling with Alfie Speed, who is also being sought in connection with her disappearance. It is thought they may have travelled outside their local area, and the public is urged to remain alert across the country.

Tiegan is described as white, around 5ft 5in tall, with long brown hair and a slim build. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, grey leggings, and white trainers. She may also be carrying a black rucksack.

Alfie Speed is described as white, around 6ft tall, with short brown hair and a medium build. Police have not disclosed the nature of his relationship with Tiegan but have stressed the urgency of locating them both.

A spokesperson for the police said: “We are extremely concerned for Tiegan’s welfare and are asking for the public’s help to find her. We believe she may be with 19-year-old Alfie Speed, and while there is no immediate suggestion of criminality, Tiegan’s age means we are treating this as a matter of urgency. If anyone sees Tiegan or Alfie, or has any information about where they may be, please call 999 immediately and quote incident number [INSERT INCIDENT NUMBER].”

Officers have been conducting door-to-door enquiries, checking CCTV footage, and speaking with Tiegan’s friends and relatives in an effort to piece together her movements in the hours before she went missing. Her family has issued a heartfelt plea for her to come home, describing her disappearance as “completely out of character.”

“Please Tiegan, if you see this, just let someone know you’re safe,” her mother said. “We’re not angry — we just want you home.”

Police are also appealing directly to Alfie Speed, urging him to get in touch with authorities and help ensure Tiegan’s safe return.

Anyone who has seen Tiegan Preece or Alfie Speed, or who may have information that could assist the investigation, is urged not to approach them but to call 999 immediately. Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police have assured the public that every resource is being used to bring Tiegan home safely.
