Valerien Ismael praises Blackburn Rovers’ new lad after the transfer window shuts, calling him “quality.”
The manager of Blackburn Rovers, Valerien Ismael, has stated that Ryoya Morishita will add “quality” to their team.
The Japan international was signed by Blackburn Rovers last month. He was given a three-year contract by Rovers that would continue until 2028 at Ewood Park.

With three caps for his nation thus far, Morishita is a versatile player who can play in attack or midfield. He joined the Championship team after leaving Legia Warsaw.
According to the Lancashire Telegraph, Ismael expressed his satisfaction with the agreement, saying: “I believe he was our top target, actually, at the start of the window.”
Legia made it apparent early on that they would not release him earlier in the window due to the qualification games, which presented a challenge for us.
“We looked for other solutions by evaluating the market. However, Morishita was always at the top of our list, in my opinion. I believe I was rather happy that we were patient. In the end, he’s here because the board did a fantastic job closing the deal. He is an international player with a lot of good energy, experience, and great quality. Thus, hopefully, he would deliver what we anticipated from him.

Ryoya Morishita is being challenged by Blackburn Rovers.
Last time out, Morishita made his debut for Blackburn Rovers against Norwich City. After the international break, Rovers will be eager to watch him play more.
They will have greater depth and competition thanks to the man from Shizuoka. He may need to be patient while he gets used to life in England, just like any foreign player.
In 2024, Morishita signed a temporary loan agreement with Legia Warsaw, which was eventually extended to a permanent one. He had stints at Nagoya Grampus and Sagan Tosu before relocating to Poland.

Blackburn Rovers are hoping for more victories.
On the penultimate day of the previous season, Blackburn Rovers were eliminated from the play-offs. Important players including Tyrhys Dolan, Lewis Travis, and Dom Hyam have subsequently left Rovers.
Over the past few months, Ismael’s team has increased its overseas hiring. Their new lads may need some time to get along.
They suffered defeats to West Brom and Birmingham City in their opening two games, respectively. After that, they defeated Hull City on the road for the first time before losing to Norwich City 2-0 at home in their most recent match.
Next weekend, Blackburn Rovers will return to action when they travel to Vicarage Road to play Watford. Against the Hornets, Morishita will be hoping for increased playing time.
