Villa comes very close on a night of pride.

After an exciting night of action at Villa Park, Aston Villa’s UEFA Champions League campaign came to a sudden end as they lost to Paris Saint-Germain.

The hosts were firmly on the defensive and trailed 5-1 overall after two PSG goals in the first 27 minutes.

But with the support of a fervent claret and blue fan base, Youri Tielemans, John McGinn, and Ezri Konsa all struck the net to put Unai Emery’s team within striking distance.

It was not to be, though, as the French champions won 5–4 to secure their spot in the semi-finals, even if Villa had won the match that evening.
