Dramatic footage has captured the moment police forced entry into a Fleetwood property during a drug raid that led to two arrests.
On Friday, April 25, investigators executed a warrant at an address in the town and discovered white powder, which they believe to be Class A drugs.
A 22-year-old male and a 44-year-old woman from Fleetwood have been arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A narcotics with the intent to supply.
Both were released pending further inquiry, with conditions.
Police released video footage today showing officers using a battering ram to knock down the front door, followed by the arrest of a suspect, who is brought away in handcuffs.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Andy Ward stated: “We understand that drug dealing has a significant impact on our communities, and we want to reassure residents that we will act on intelligence and take the required procedures, such as a warrant.
“This warrant was executed as a result of our participation in the Prosper Partnership. The partnership brings together local police, municipalities, and other key community partners to make Fleetwood a better, safer place to live and visit.
“I urge anyone with information to report it to us directly or anonymously through Crimestoppers.” We take allegations of serious and organised crime extremely seriously, and we will not allow such behavior in our area.
