Sandi Lovric has been an essential member of Udinese’s first squad for the past three seasons, and Watford appear to be interested in the midfielder.
The UK press has reported on the Hornets’ interest in the Slovenian international, and Calciomercato has further details.
According to the publication, Udinese and Watford are in talks over a permanent deal for the 27-year-old. As things stand, the Italian club values Lovric at €9 million, which is not considered to be an issue for the Championship side.
Watford are hoping to recruit the midfielder as soon as possible, which might benefit Udinese, who will gain a big capital profit while they try to do business themselves.
Lovric joined the Friulians on a free transfer in summer 2022, following his departure from Swiss club Lugano.
Since his arrival, the Slovenian has made 108 appearances for Udinese, scoring nine goals and providing 13 assists. He has primarily played in center midfield, but he has also demonstrated the versatility to play in attacking midfield and deeper positions.
