After his contract with Walsall expired, the left-back, who made 56 appearances for club and country during the 2024–25 season, signs a two-year contract with the newly promoted Valiants.

Gordon joined the Bolton Wanderers team that was promoted from Sky Bet League Two in 2020–21. Gordon started his career with Dagenham & Redbridge. He also captained his nation for the first time last season.

Later this month, the 26-year-old will join the first team for preseason play.

“Liam is an exciting player who fits the profile of what we’re looking for here at Vale Park, and we’re delighted that he’s joining us,” stated Darren Moore, first-team manager. He has great characteristics in his game and is a decent individual with good character.
