In football, sometimes things are just meant to be. In extraordinary circumstances, Sunderland emerged victorious from the play-offs, after failing to win any of their previous six regular Championship games.

You can’t claim Sunderland doesn’t deserve to return since they’ve been through a lot since leaving the top flight a few years ago.
However, what’s ahead now? Jordan Henderson may be the target of a transfer.

Henderson, a Premier League and Champions League champion, left Liverpool to pursue opulent wealth in Saudi Arabia.
His transition to the Pro League wasn’t entirely successful, though. A few months later, he departed for Ajax.
He is a titan of Europe, but his time in the Netherlands hasn’t been great either. Reporters have criticized him for allegedly disrespecting the team during rumors that he would depart, even though the Amsterdam team lost to PSV for the Eredivisie title on the last day of the season.
Henderson has found some comfort, though, as he is now back in the Three Lions lineup following Thomas Tuchel’s appointment as England manager.
And he may go back to his boyhood club, to cap it all off. The Mackems are ‘contemplating’ a move to bring the midfielder back to the Stadium of Light, according to talkSPORT, which made the announcement earlier this week.
Henderson played 79 games for Sunderland before leaving the team for the first time in 2011.
Would it be wise to sign him? Well, former Black Cats defender Wes Brown appeared to believe so when he spoke exclusively to Football FanCast on behalf of X.
“It would make sense for Jordan Henderson to return to Sunderland. Brown started, “He would realize that he might not play every week, but when it’s necessary, definitely show the heart.”
Although Sunderland’s team has some amazing young players, including Chris Rigg and Jobe Bellingham, Brown believes it would be a good idea to add some experience now that they have been promoted.
“You do need a few experienced players in the squad, to settle the ship,” the former Manchester United player stated. We are all aware that next year won’t be flawless and that certain games will have bad days. The team must include individuals who can help the other players get back up. Every year, you witness how teams struggle to bounce back from a loss and their heads drop, leaving everyone anxious.
Brown concluded that the 34-year-old should return to the northeast by saying: “Jordan would undoubtedly be a player that would readily assist in bringing the squad back to life. It’s also his boyhood club. He would do all in his power to support the squad.
Henderson’s entrance would be significant, but so would Bellingham’s possible departure.

The offensive midfielder has been in negotiations to join Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt, according to a report this week from Sky Sports Germany.
How does Brown feel about Sunderland’s rising star?
“I like Jobe Bellingham; he’s not his brother, but he’s a good player who’s still young,” he told FFC. I can tell you this since I was a player in the Championship; it’s a terrible league to leave. You may be sitting pretty one minute, then lose two straight games and find yourself in ninth place, with no idea what’s going on. They look like a terrific group of guys, and he has a tremendous approach and dedication.”
The 19-year-old’s four goals and three assists this season were not particularly impressive, but it’s obvious he has a ton of potential, and losing him just before they are promoted would be devastating.
