Pressley is glad to have two distinct goalkeepers at his disposal: Carson is a shot-stopper with actual experience, while McCracken’s footwork is an asset in today’s game.

Last season, Carson appeared 27 times, McCracken 20 times, while Sharp did not appear in any competitive games.

When asked if he had a preference No. 1 for the upcoming campaign, Pressley responded, “No, I came here with an open mind.” “They certainly split the workload last year.

“It’s completely up for grabs for the two of them. “Both have proven that they have really good capabilities, so it’s just who’s going to stake their claim.

” The Dark Blues manager added: “I prefer having healthy competition for slots. “Competition in which people can see that if they perform well, there will be opportunities.

“That’s the type of competition I want and that’s the same for the goalkeepers.”
