Vitor Pereira has admitted Goncalo Guedes wants to leave Wolves this summer.
Despite signing from Valencia for £27.5 million in the summer of 2022, the forward has only recently finished his first full season with the club.
Guedes ended the season on loan at Benfica before returning to the Portuguese club for the start of the following season.
He later joined Villarreal on loan before returning to Wolves last summer.
Despite attempts to move him on, the 28-year-old remained with Wolves for the whole Premier League season, scoring two goals and providing four assists in 29 games. He also scored three more goals in two Carabao Cup games.
Pereira has now disclosed that Guedes intends to move on in the coming months.
“I’m not sure about Gonçalo Guedes either, because he has a contract with us,” Pereira told the Portuguese media source Record.
“I like him, but he’s been there for a few years and has this ambition to leave.”
Pereira explained, “It’s mostly because he’s been there for a few years. Let us check if it is possible or not.”
Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri have already gone for Manchester United and Manchester City, respectively, while several other Wolves players are garnering interest.
Hwang Hee-chan was equally evasive about his future in an interview with the Express & Star, admitting his ‘passion’ for the club but being noncommittal about a prospective move.
Wolves turned down a £21 million offer from French club Marseille for Hwang last summer, but then manager Gary O’Neil persuaded him to stay.
