Wolves handed golden opportunity as Jorge Mendes client has his price dropped to £21m
At Molineux, the summer transfer market hasn’t started yet, but a bold approach for one Portuguese international would demonstrate Wolves’ seriousness.
Fer Lopez, who cost almost £20 million to acquire from Celta Vigo in June, is Wolves’ lone summer acquisition.
Wolves are supposedly close to signing two additional players, which is positive, but no one has followed the Spanish playmaker through the door.
As rumours about the 27-year-old surfaced on Thursday, with Wolves considering a bid for him, fans are hopeful that one of those is Club World Cup hero Jhon Arias.
Because of his amazing ball-carrying skills, Arias would be a great replacement for Matheus Cunha, and Wolves could use Jorge Mendes as leverage to acquire another superstar.
Wolves should use Jorge Mendes contact to sign Francisco Conceicao
Super agent Jorge Mendes returned to Molineux, and Domenico Teti was appointed as the new technical director to support Vitor Pereira as part of the club’s reorganisation.
During a summer when Pereira is pursuing players from Portugal, Mendes can once again play a significant role in luring top Portuguese talent to Wolves under Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Old Gold should go no farther than Mendes’ client Francisco Conceicao, a winger for Porto, as they search for a replacement for Cunha.

After Conceicao spent the previous season on loan at Juventus, Porto reportedly reduced his asking price to £21 million this summer, according to Football Italia.
With an option to buy clause attached, the Italian powerhouses are interested in temporarily bringing the 22-year-old back to Turin; however, Wolves must undoubtedly step in since they’re still undecided.
Conceicao’s career thus far suggests that he is a player who can create magic in the final third, which is why Dave Edwards wants Wolves to recruit a “technically gifted” player to replace Cunha.
Bruno Fernandes thinks Conceicao is ‘electric’

Bruno Fernandes, an international teammate, praised Conceicao as “electric.” The teenage winger, who primarily plays on the right flank, is renowned for his amazing speed.
Fernandes said Mais Futebo, “Francisco had a very good game; he is an electric player and works a lot without the ball.” “He responds to loss extremely quickly and in a very advantageous position.
“You can see that he was trained by his father, who cares a lot about these details. We want players who can provide different qualities so we can be complete as a group.”
As a direct, pacey and dynamic wide player, whose potential is limitless, paying around £20 million for his services would be a steal for Wolves.
