Priority areas for Wrexham as they prepare for their first Championship campaign in forty-three years are central midfield.

Phil Parkinson is eager to get Lewis O’Brien to the Racecourse Ground, and Tom Cairney is contemplating a contract offer from the Red Dragons.

After a successful loan stint at rival Swansea City, Myles Peart-Harris piqued Wrexham’s interest; now, Travis is the newest player to capture the club’s attention.

Craig Dawson and Aaron Cresswell have received contract offers from Wrexham, who seem to be intensifying their efforts to bolster their roster this summer.

The Red Dragons are interested in signing Blackburn captain Travis, who is valued at approximately £3 million, according to Graeme Bailey, Chief Football Correspondent for TBR Football, who spoke to Wrexham Insider.

Before a hamstring injury cut short his season, Travis had a “phenomenal” season for Blackburn, according to the Lancashire Telegraph.

Although Sheffield United and Ipswich Town, a team Travis has previously had success with on loan, could pose a threat, Wrexham will be encouraged that he only has one year left on his contract.

Following the stellar performances of players like Ollie Rathbone and Matty James during the promotion campaign, supporters will be curious to see what Travis might add to Wrexham’s midfield.

Travis is a hard-working midfielder who reads the game well in the middle of the pitch. He frequently breaks up play and makes intelligent use of the ball.
