ICELANDIC AJAX MIDFIELDER TO TRADE AMSTERDAM FOR ENSCHEDE.

According to Voetbal International, Kristian Hlynsson is nearing the end of his Ajax career. The Icelandic midfielder is apparently on his way to FC Twente.

Hlynsson appeared to have little chance of playing for Ajax’s first squad, but he still managed to turn heads while on loan at Sparta Rotterdam. In 14 Eredivisie appearances with Het Kasteel, the 21-year-old scored twice and assisted three times.

Because of this reasonable form, Twente will now buy out the Icelandic prospect’s contract. This still has one year to run.

The transfer fee is currently unknown. So far, the Danish-born Iceland international has four caps for Strákarnir okkar, having started at U15 level.
