Kentucky has landed a commitment from one of the top defensive backs in the 2027 recruiting class, beating out Ole Miss, Louisville, and Tennessee in the process.

The Wildcats secured a big recruiting win on Tuesday when four-star cornerback Miles Brown announced his pledge to Kentucky, choosing them over the Rebels, Cardinals, and his home-state Volunteers. Brown, who hails from Martin, Tennessee, stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 188 pounds. According to the 247 Sports Composite, he is ranked No. 434 nationally, the 42nd-best cornerback in his class, and the 19th-ranked overall prospect in Tennessee.
This commitment is a significant achievement for Kentucky head coach Will Stein and his staff, particularly given the stiff competition. Outmaneuvering SEC rivals and pulling a top prospect out of Tennessee sends a strong message about the direction of Kentucky’s recruiting efforts.
Cornerbacks coach Allen Brown was instrumental in the recruitment, making multiple trips to Martin in recent weeks. He visited Brown on May 5 and returned a week later with defensive coordinator Jay Bateman.
During the 2025 season, Brown racked up 40 tackles, six pass breakups, two forced turnovers, and four interceptions. He also excelled on special teams, underscoring his versatility as a prospect.
Brown now adds to an already impressive 2027 Kentucky recruiting class that continues to take shape under Stein and his staff.
