DeVonta Smith of the Philadelphia Eagles turned in a strong fifth-year campaign, pacing the team in receiving yardage. Over the course of the regular season, he secured 77 catches from 113 targets, totaling 1,008 yards and four touchdowns. In the Wild Card Round, he added eight receptions on 11 targets for 70 yards. His season stats also included three dropped passes, 344 yards accumulated after the catch, a 10-of-25 mark on contested targets, 335 yards and two scores on throws of 20-plus air yards, and a 104.5 passer rating when he was the intended receiver.
With A.J. Brown no longer in the fold, Smith is now positioned to step in as the club’s primary wideout. Should things break in his favor, the former Heisman winner could set new personal bests and earn his inaugural Pro Bowl selection.
The Eagles’ standout checks in at No. 22 on the league’s wide receiver rankings.
