Based on information obtained by FBSchedules.com through a state open records request, the UT Martin Skyhawks and the Chattanooga Mocs have finalized a four-game home-and-home series that kicks off in 2028. The contract for the series with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga was provided by the University of Tennessee at Martin.
The opening matchup of the set is scheduled for Saturday, September 9, 2028, at Graham Stadium in Martin, Tennessee, with UT Martin acting as the host. The following year, on Saturday, September 8, 2029, the action moves to Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, where the Mocs will host the Skyhawks.
UT Martin is then slated to welcome Chattanooga back to Martin for a second home game on Saturday, September 7, 2030. The series wraps up with a return trip to Chattanooga on Saturday, September 6, 2031, for the final contest.
The two programs have faced each other only six times prior, with the series first starting in 1991. Chattanooga holds a 4-2 edge in the all-time matchups, and the Mocs earned a 34-24 win over the Skyhawks in their last meeting in 2018, which broke a two-game losing streak against UT Martin.
A separate future non-conference contest for UT Martin was also reported earlier this week: the Skyhawks are set to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes on September 2, 2028, a game that will pay UT Martin a $500,000 guarantee.
