Players have gathered in Chicago for this year’s NBA Draft Combine, with many hoping to improve their draft positioning as the season’s final stretch approaches. Several former Kentucky Wildcats familiar faces to the Big Blue Nation are on the floor working out in front of NBA scouts.
Among them are Jayden Quaintance and Malachi Moreno, both of whom went through measurements and drills while aiming to maintain first-round evaluations before the interview portion of the Combine. Quaintance appears to be a likely lottery pick, while Moreno continues to trend as a late first-round prospect. The big question remains: will Moreno return to Lexington?

The Combine also carries weight on the recruiting front, especially regarding Milan Momcilovic. The Iowa State transfer currently projects as a late first- to early second-round pick. Will that be enough to steer him away from the NBA and back to college basketball? If so, he could become a major star for Mark Pope to land.

With the withdrawal deadline approaching, the offseason is about to ramp up. It should be an exciting one to follow.
