Phillies’ Top Player’s ‘OK’ Feeling Powers Historic 5-Game Home Run Streak, Grabs MLB Lead with 17 Dingers

Although some might argue that the Philadelphia Phillies have fallen short of expectations during the 2026 season, star player Kyle Schwarber has been a bright spot, delivering an outstanding performance so far. With Schwarber consistently launching home runs for the Phillies, he extended his streak to five consecutive games as of Tuesday.

During Philadelphia’s visit to Fenway Park to face the Boston Red Sox, Schwarber acted quickly, crushing a 2-1 pitch to right-center field in the top of the first inning. Not only did this homer mark his fifth straight game with a home run, but it also gave him the major league lead with 17 dingers.

In the Phillies’ previous game the series finale against the Colorado Rockies on Sunday Schwarber hit two home runs, powering the team to a 6-0 victory and a series win. When asked afterward how he was feeling, his response might surprise fans, especially following a multi-homer outing.

Regardless, it remains to be seen whether Schwarber can push the streak to six games. Before Tuesday’s matchup, the 33-year-old had posted a .227 batting average, along with 16 home runs and 27 RBIs—numbers that are sure to shift after this latest performance. The Phillies entered the game with a 19-22 record, placing them second in the NL East.
