Jon Rothstein offered Kentucky fans an early glimpse of what the Wildcats’ SEC slate will look like for the upcoming season, releasing a breakdown Monday evening that detailed UK’s conference assignments for both home and away contests.

As Mark Pope works to restore the program and push Kentucky back toward prominence within the league and on the national stage, Rothstein dropped some intriguing scheduling details. The CBS Sports college basketball insider indicated that Ole Miss will appear twice on Kentucky’s conference calendar next season, with the Rebels serving as the Wildcats’ designated “rotating mirror opponent” for the year.

Rothstein additionally noted that Tennessee and Vanderbilt will continue as Kentucky’s “normal mirror opponents,” maintaining those annual home-and-home series for the coming season.

When it comes to which SEC foes will visit Rupp Arena and which conference rivals the Wildcats will travel to face, Rothstein pointed to Florida as one of the road matchups on next season’s docket.

The trio of Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Ole Miss will each square off with Kentucky on two occasions—once in Lexington and once on their respective home floors meaning Wildcats fans will get an extended look at the Volunteers, Commodores, and Rebels throughout the year.

According to Rothstein’s compiled list, notable home conference games for Kentucky next season include Alabama, Arkansas, and Texas A&M, all slated to make the trip to Rupp Arena. That grouping should give Pope’s squad a formidable home SEC schedule for the 2026-27 campaign.
