Auburn beats Alabama, lands commitment from WR Cedrick Simmons

The Auburn Tigers secured a significant recruiting victory on Tuesday, beating in-state rival Alabama for the commitment of three-star wide receiver Cedrick Simmons .

Simmons, a standout from Selma, Alabama, chose Auburn over the Crimson Tide and Purdue, citing the familiarity and family atmosphere on the Plains . He is the 24th commitment in Auburn’s 2027 class, which continues to build momentum for Head Coach Alex Golesh .
