According to ESPN’s report on Friday, Javonte Green has agreed to a one-year deal worth $3.95 million to remain with the Detroit Pistons. Green had entered free agency this offseason.
Green, who will celebrate his 33rd birthday later this month, was a durable presence for the Pistons during the 2025-26 season, taking part in all 82 contests and drawing six starts.

Over those appearances, he contributed 6.9 points and 2.8 rebounds across 17.6 minutes per night, while also posting a personal-best 38.1 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
Green’s path to Detroit was far from straightforward prior to last season. Following a four-year collegiate career at Radford, he spent time competing in Europe from 2015 to 2019 before inking a free-agent deal with the Boston Celtics ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

Since then, he has suited up for multiple franchises, logging 345 career games split between the Celtics, Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Pistons. Over his tenure in the league, he holds career averages of 5.7 points and 3.0 rebounds in 17.0 minutes per outing.
